My top 13 favorite Metallica songs in no particular order. Man my neck is sore from head-banging while making this list....

Fade To Black [Ride The Lightning]

This song is so melancholy and beautiful and amazing... if you don't feel every note deep inside then perhaps we cannot be friends... CHILLS.... CHILLS every time I hear it

Master of Puppets [Master of Puppets]

Come crawling faster, obey your master, your life burns faster, obey your Master! Master!

Wherever I May Roam [The Black Album]

To busy head-banging to comment

For Whom The Bell Tolls [Ride The Lightning]

Hear the silence SO LOUD! The bass on this song is so awesome.. RIP Cliff B.

Welcome Home (Sanitarium) [Master of Puppets]

Sleep my friend and you will see the dream is my reality... So heavy, so haunting... the awesome it hurts.

One [...And Justice For All]

One was Metallica's first music video and they nailed it, splicing in scenes from the movie Johnny Got His Gun. The book the movie was based on was part of the inspired for the song.

Sad But True [The Black Album]

YOU KNOW IT'S SAD BUT TRUE!!! I pity people who don't like Metallica...

(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth [Kill 'Em All]

Bass solo take one... RIP Cliff Burton

The Four Horsemen [Kill 'Em All]

Lars Ulrich: As much as you want to hate him, it's because of songs like this you can't

No Remorse [Kill 'Em All]

This song kicks your ass from the beginning to the end

Ride The Lightning [Ride The Lightning]

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬(ஜ۩۞۩ஜ)▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!

Turn The Page [Garage Inc]

Bob Seger cover... roxors my soxors

Last Caress/Green Hell [The $5.98 EP Garage Days Re-Revisited.]

I remember I paid $25 for the $5.98 EP and it was a bargain!

<![CDATA[Top 13 Cover Songs]]>Mon, 12 Sep 2011 17:57:21 -0800http://dedsysop.com/1/post/2011/09/top-13-cover-songs.htmlPicture
This is a list of 13 of the best cover songs ever made. Not in any particular order.
The number of Beatles songs was unintentional

Spineshank - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (The Beatles)

This is pretty rocking while staying pretty true to the original.

Natalie Merchant - Space Oddity (David Bowie)

Natalie Merchant has a very unique voice which compliments this very unique song very well.

Ozzy Osbourne - Working Class Hero (John Lennon)

"There's room at the top they are telling you still, But first you must learn how to smile as you kill" ... I like this version much better than the Greenday version.

Collide - White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane)

Trippy song is trippy.

Gary Jules - Mad World (Tears for Fears)

From the Donnie Darko soundtrack, takes the song to another level.

Johnny Cash - Hurt (Nine Inch Nails)

This song is so amazing, it'll probably be on every list it qualifies for.

Graveworm - Losing My Religion (R.E.M.)

Get beyond the vocals and this brutal cover is pretty true to the original.

Beseech - Gimme Gimme Gimme (ABBA)

This is just an amazing cover.

The Corrs & Bono - Summer Wine (Lee Hazlewood & Suzi Jane)

Made popular by Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood, this is an excellent live cover.

Metallica - Last Caress (The Misfits)

Short and sweet Metallica took this song and made it their own.

Motley Crue - Helter Skelter (The Beatles)

I love this cover... it's totally 80's glam but is so much fun.

Godhead - Eleanor Rigby (The Beatles)

Another Beatles cover, this one rocks my socks.

Seasons After - Cry Little Sister (Gerard McMann)

From the Lost Boys soundtrack, this takes the dark haunting song and makes it rockin'

<![CDATA[Top 13 Acoustic Songs]]>Sat, 10 Sep 2011 11:12:58 -0800http://dedsysop.com/1/post/2011/09/top-13-acoustic-songs.htmlPicture
This is a list of 13 of the best acoustic songs ever made. Not in any particular order.

Flaw - Only The Strong Survive (Acoustic)

This is the acoustic bonus track on their 2001 Through The Eyes album

Johnny Cash - Hurt

"The video he made of that song was overwhelming. When I saw it the power and beauty of music struck me in a really profound way." "... an icon from a completely different world takes the song and juxtaposes himself into it in a way that seems more powerful to me than my own version." -Trent Reznor

Radiohead - Creep

Even if you hate this song because it has been played to death. you know you really do love it.

David Gilmour - Wish You Were Here

Wish you were here by Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite songs. This version of it is quite awe inspiring.

Foo Fighters - Everlong

Even tough Dave Grohl was the drummer from Nirvana, I never really paid any attention to the Foo Fighters unit I heard them preform the acoustic version of Everlong on the radio.

The Beatles - Yesterday

Recorded in 1965, still hold up today.

Stone Temple Pilots - Creep

Another song named creep from the 90's....

Barry McGuire - Eve of Destruction

First heard a cover of the chorus of this song in The Stand mini-series and became obsessed...

Metallica - Fade To Black

While usually I'd say acoustic Metallica is akin to blasphemy... this song gives me chills in just about any live version

Guns N' Roses - Patience

...

Nirvana - Plateau

The entire eMpTy V unplugged album could probably go here... This is one of my favorite songs from that album.

Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven

Sad, beautiful, haunting...

Led Zeppelin - Going to California
